Chapel Arts is one of Canada's most established solid-wood furniture and custom woodworking shops — and one of the few that pairs genuine hand-craft with true large-format capability under one roof.
Led by master woodworker Nathan Wiens, our team of artisans and joiners is united by a stubborn commitment to doing things properly: dovetails that fit, surfaces that stay flat, finishes chosen for how a piece will actually be used. We blend modern and traditional methods because the best result usually borrows from both — a CNC-calibrated surface finished by a hand that knows when to stop.
We work with homeowners, business owners, designers and entrepreneurs, in person and online, and we genuinely enjoy the strange ones — street art, functional-mechanical builds, ideas nobody’s tried yet. If you’ve got a wild concept, bring it.
Our 8,000 sq ft studio sits at 305 Dunlevy Ave in East Vancouver. On the first Saturday of every month we open the doors to the public with the First Saturdays crawl — come watch the shop in action.
