Beyond our own furniture, Chapel Arts runs an 8,000 sq ft production shop open to designers, builders, businesses and fellow woodworkers. If it's too big, too precise, or too ambitious for a home shop, it probably belongs here.
Our large-format CNC router are the heart of the shop — ideal for calibrating parallel surfaces, breaking down sheet goods, and cutting sculptural forms that would be impossible by hand. Bring us a finished file or start from a sketch: we offer Fusion 360 design support to take your idea from concept to cut path.
These are the same machines behind our Swell dining and coffee tables, so you're getting furniture-grade precision, not rough production work.

Every Chapel Arts commission follows the same five steps, and you approve each stage before we move forward. No surprises, no guesswork — just a clear path from idea to installed.
Step 1 / 5
We start by understanding your piece: its size, style, and how you'll live with it. Then we match those needs to our inventory — species, grain, character, and the story of a specific log. It's how we make sure the wood and the vision belong together.
Step 2 / 5
We talk through design and cost in a detailed proposal, and walk you through the three decisions that shape the piece: wood, finish, and function. You'll get drawings to approve before anything is built.
Step 3 / 5
Once the wood, finish and details are locked, we send a final design with a revised estimate for your sign-off. A 50% deposit begins the work; the balance is due on completion.
Step 4 / 5
The machines run and the piece takes shape. Depending on scale, production usually takes three to eight weeks — we'll confirm your timeline before we begin.
Step 5 / 5
When it's ready, have it delivered and installed, or pick it up from the shop — we'll guide you through any assembly. Delivery and installation are quoted separately based on location, number of pieces, and what the install requires.
