Eastside Culture Crawl Society presents: ‘Out of Space…’ Artists, their space and the Art they Create. 6 photographers, 30 artists January 9-25 Opening Jan 9 - 7-9 a multi-disiplinary exhibition which pairs photographs of artists in their studio space with artwork created by them. Putting a face to the space where art is made. This event opens opportunities for discussions around the need to secure permanent, safe and lasting solutions for the creative workers of Vancouver.

Join us at the Chapel, Sundays - Jan 11, 18 and 25 between 1-4 to discuss the space challenges unique to artists working in Vancouver, and help find positive workable solutions.

ACROSS THE BOARD: a celebration of board culture

July 11, 2008 to July 13, 2008


Chapel Arts presents the first official weekend celebration and month long art exhibit that celebrates and showcases skateboard culture in Vancouver.

ACROSS THE BOARD kicks off on Friday, July 11 at 5pm - 1am with the opening party for the art show curated by local artist/graphic designer Jeff Denomme. The art exhibition contains the work of 16 + artists and ranges from paintings, graffiti, and pencil sketches to photographic installations and sculptural assemblages - all influenced by the variety of urban skateboard culture.

Running til August 10, this amazing exhibition is open to the public during our regular gallery hours: Wed - Sat 12pm - 6pm and Sundays 1pm - 4pm.

Opening Reception: Friday July 11, 2008 5pm-7pm (free) 8pm-1am (minimum $8 donation)
Skateboard Competition & Block Party: Saturday July 12, 2008 1pm-7pm
